Veterinary Nurse

Alison Lambie - Veterinary Nurse
Alison Lambie RVN MBVNA Veterinary Nurse

My career as a Veterinary Nurse started out at the age of 19. I'd always been animal mad! Growing up my family home had various furry & feathered members. I completed lots of work experience & volunteered at Veterinary Practices, Animal Shelters, and Riding Schools whilst at school & during college. I gained my qualification as a Veterinary Nurse from Myerscough College & University Centre.

Fast forward *coughs* a few years and after working as a Veterinary Nurse and gaining experience at other Veterinary Practices I joined Oakmount in 2007. My role at the practice as a Registered Veterinary Nurse means I'm involved in hands-on nursing care of a wide range of animals, providing both emegency and routine healthcare. I enjoy theatre work & caring for hospitalised patients as well as running clinics. I've set up specific Senior Clinics to provide care for our elderly patients.

Of course, I love seeing your new puppy and kitten additions too! I help clients with bereavement support and have completed further training in this area. I am also proud to of gained my Certificate In Small Animal Nutrition which allows me to advise on all aspects of nutrition whether it be for lifestages or disease processes. I'm qualified to use a class IV laser & use this to aid healing & provide pain relief for our patients to treat a wide range of ailments. My aim is to promote animal health and welfare through the education of pet owners to provide responsible ownership and healthy happy pets. I look forward to seeing you at the practice.
