Birds

From the smallest finch to the magnificent Macaw, we provide in-depth health checks, investigations and treatments.

Early referral is important to ensure best outcome in many cases. In addition, longer appointments can be arranged to tackle more chronic and complicated problems.

As captive environment so often plays a part in health and disease progression, appointments can be arranged to discuss husbandry, including provision of suitable nutrition, supplementation and UV light.

With poultry becoming more and more popularly kept as pets, we are happy to offer comprehensive advice, medicine or surgery tailored to their needs.

We routinely provide:

  • Post-purchase examinations and annual health checks, including husbandry reviews
  • Microchipping
  • Blood and faecal analyses using both in-house and external laboratories to allow rapid diagnosing and prognosis optimisation
  • Behaviour and feather plucking advice and treatment
  • Full surgical and medical management, including radiography, ultrasound or endoscopy as required
  • Hospitalisation facilities including intensive care and nebulisation

Fish

From the tiny family goldfish to the large and majestic carp, we are equipped and happy to care for fish of all types. We can offer appointments to discuss water quality and general management in addition to advice on health and feeding problems.

Our services include:

  • Full medical workup & investigations
  • Surgery
  • Routine health checks
  • Husbandry & Housing

Invertebrates

Invertebrates are animals without a backbone or bony skeleton and makes up the largest group in the animal kingdom! Although 97% of all animals are invertebrates, not many of them are kept as pets.

However, we are geared up and ready to look after any that become in need of veterinary attention whether that may be a member of the spider family, one of our familiar and important honeybees or even a mighty Giant African Land Snail!

Our services include:

  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Full medical workup & investigations
  • Surgery
  • Routine health checks
  • Husbandry & Housing
